Summit Ridge Dental is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. Our Accessibility Efforts

Perceivable

All images include descriptive alternative text so screen readers can convey image content to visually impaired users. Our color palette meets WCAG AA contrast requirements, with a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. Video and multimedia content is presented with captions or transcripts when available.

Operable

Every page includes a "Skip to main content" link, allowing keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation. All interactive elements — including menus, forms, buttons, and accordions — are fully navigable via keyboard using Tab, Enter, Space, and Arrow keys. Visible focus indicators appear on all interactive elements when navigating with a keyboard. All touch targets on mobile devices meet a minimum size of 44×44 pixels. Our mobile menu includes focus trapping so keyboard users stay within the menu until they close it.

Understandable

Our website content is written at approximately an 8th-grade reading level to ensure broad comprehension. All form fields include visible labels (not just placeholder text) and provide clear error messages when validation fails. Navigation is consistent across all pages, with a predictable layout that helps users orient themselves within the site.

Robust

We use semantic HTML5 elements (header, nav, main, footer, article, section) throughout the site for proper document structure. ARIA attributes are applied where native HTML semantics are insufficient, such as on custom dropdown menus, tab panels, and icon-only buttons. Our site is tested across major browsers and assistive technologies, including screen readers like NVDA and VoiceOver.

Ongoing Commitment

Accessibility is not a one-time effort. We regularly review and test our website as we add new content and features. Our development process includes accessibility checks as part of our quality assurance workflow, and we stay current with evolving accessibility standards and best practices.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some third-party content or embedded services (such as Google Maps iframes or external booking widgets) may not be fully within our control. We work with our vendors to address accessibility gaps in third-party tools and provide alternative ways to access the same information or services when possible.
